70+ Member Companies Joined Chamber in Over 100 Meetings with Congressional Representatives, Senators and Committees to Advocate for Blockchain Technology

The Chamber of Digital Commerce and the Congressional Blockchain Caucus held “Congressional Blockchain Education Day” on July 11, 2017.

The half-day initiative was held to educate U.S. Members of Congress, Senators, and their staffs on the value of blockchain technology, and to ensure that America remains the epicenter of this breakthrough technology. Microsoft co-hosted the day, which began with a smart contracts briefing for Congressional staffers.

The briefing featured a technology demonstration by Symbiont, the technology partner for the Delaware Blockchain Initiative. Throughout the day, more than 70+ member companies joined the Chamber in over 100 meetings with a bipartisan group of Congressional offices and committees on Capitol Hill.

Co-chair of the Congressional Blockchain Caucus, Rep. Jared Polis (D-CO.) wrapped up the day with an address to a gathering of entrepreneurs at a cocktail reception in the U.S. Capitol Visitors Center Atrium.
