It’s time to discover blockchain technology!

Ever wondered how innovative companies known for delivering best-in-class customer service develop their product roadmap?

The Chamber of Digital Commerce, Discover and Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business Center for Financial Markets and Policy teamed up to explore the promise of blockchain technology.

The Discover Blockchain Technology code-a-thon took place during an intense 24-hour period, where more than 100 coders and observers gathered to develop blockchain-based solutions to address digital identity, payments and RegTech.

THE CHALLENGE

The rise in digitalization and innovation have made trust in payments, RegTech, and digital identity more important than ever before.

Participants of the code-a-thon had the unique opportunity to build blockchain solutions to streamline operations, manage their finances and more.

The Discover Blockchain Technology code-a-thon brought together teams of engineers and coders to tackle and deliver innovative ideas to address:

“Seek Refugee” took home first prize for its solution to help provide a dignified journey for refugees.

Second place winner was “Heisenberg Project,” which created aimed to create a solution to make the transfer of pharmaceuticals from doctor to patient more transparent.

Team “Open Vote” came in third for their project aimed to combat voter fraud by using blockchain based identifiers.
