Today’s action from Chairman Selig and the CFTC is exactly the kind of proactive, rules-based approach our industry has been asking for. For too long, American innovators have been forced to navigate a patchwork of state regimes and after-the-fact enforcement. A purpose-built federal framework, developed through open notice-and-comment, gives builders the certainty they need and consumers the protections they deserve. The Chairman is right that the goal should be to prevent the next FTX, not just prosecute it.
We look forward to working with the Commission to finalize these rules and input our member feedback.
